This is the foundations of a structure with commanding views. The stones are carefully placed in a circle and appear to be held together with mortar. The top is completely missing but the base is built in to the mountain so one side is more visible than the other and you can see this was a structure built to last. I'd like to hear an archaeologists viewpoint. Was a watchtower for the Knights Templars or Knights of Santiago? Both are reported to be in this area and there is a small cave, with containing outer walls and a glamourous arched window, just down the slope which would have made a fine hermitage
