It's a great place to live for dog owners, artists, motorcyclists and walkers. Very dramatic ever changing landscape with views views and more views. Mobile shops and the baker comes to the village several times a day. The nearest bars and restaurants are about 2km/a mile away in Tazona. There is a market in Socovos on a Thursday about 4miles away and Socovos also has lots of shops, a Dia supermarket and lots of good bars and restaurants to suit all.
A great place for a holiday and a happy place to live. We are fortunate to have fresh filtered spring water straight from the a tap, mains electricity, street lights and mains sewers and bins emptied every night. There is street maintenance person who keeps the village clean, tidy and free from weeds and everyone always has time to say hello and talk about the weather. Bits of English, French and German are spoken in the village but it's best to learn Spanish and everyone is patient with me while I check for the right Spanish words in my dictionary.
Tranquil and calm. The soil is light umber or pink according to the light and then it rain and everything turns orange. A green and pleasant place where everything grows super fast and walking through olive groves, seeing donkeys carrying fruit and hearing the tinkling bells of goat herds is common place.
I particularly like the night sky. There is little light polution and the stars are fabulous. The skies seem very big here because canada Buendia is built on the side of a mountain. It has views for 280 degrees. The Lake Cenajo can be seen in the distance in the day and the miles of dirt roads that lead to the fields provide instant trials sections and great dirt biking.
