Oldest industry in Puerto Rico dated before Columbus arrival in 1492. It is still operating. Within forest reserve, in front of hotel and near La Playuela Beach (wrongly named playa sucia beach) which is one of the best beaches around. Las Salinas de Cabo Rojo es la industria mas antigua de Puerto Rico. Data de antes de la llegada de Colón a las Américas. Todavía está en operaciones. Dentro de la Reserva Forestal de Boquerón, frente a hotel y apartamentos y cerca de La Playuela, una de las mejores playas del área (equivocadamente conocida por algunos como playa sucia).
